The New Mexico Stream Access Coalition consists of Sportsmen and Women’s organizations dedicated to the issues that matter to hunters and anglers throughout New Mexico. We represent sportsmen and women, boaters, and the greater outdoor recreational community who enjoys using our streams. The 2015 Stream Access Bill significantly restricts the public’s ability to recreate on public waters, and the groups represented herein hope to raise awareness about this issue.
Our mission is to secure and maintain public access to the lawful use of New Mexico’s public waters and streambeds.
To restore and enforce the right of the public to access public waters as recognized by the New Mexico Constitution, the Public Trust doctrine, and long-standing New Mexico Supreme Court jurisprudence.
